active tree climbing workshops

TREE CLIMBING in the Grape Region: 6/5 + 26/8

During this workshop you will learn to climb trees like an arborist, using ropes. Furthermore, young and old can enjoy themselves in the fun play forest of Huldenberg, on the unique tree swing that we attach for you and on one of the slacklines. In short: a great outdoor activity!

Suitable for adults, families and children aged 7 and over (under parental supervision).
There are picnic benches, so feel free to bring a picnic and make it a fun outdoor trip!

In the afternoon there is a session for children and families at 2 p.m.

From 4:30 PM for adults: " Beer on a branch " in collaboration with Tervoerke, a local tripel.
A unique experience: first receive instructions from a tree climbing expert, then climb to the branch with the basket filled with beers, put your bottle in the climbing bag that we provide for you and descend safely back down. Here you can enjoy your climb but also the beer and something tasty while Dimitri and Anirudh van Tervoerke explain the origins of this traditional Belgian tripel with a creative touch!
Max 3 to 4 participants per session!
Non-climbers are also welcome for the beer tasting. Link to their website: Tervoerke
Don't you like beer or would you rather have something soft in the basket on the tree? Please let us know and we will take care of this.

There are branches at different heights, you choose how high you go. You can climb up to a maximum of 6 meters.
We work with small groups at different times. Registration is therefore necessary.
Location: Huldenberg, Flemish Brabant.

Respect for nature is very important to us: we ensure that the trees are not damaged and ask not to leave any waste behind.

Price : €25 from 13 years, €20 child 7-12 years.
Beer on a branch: €35.
Including introduction, guidance, material and helmet.

Some responses from participants:

Thank you for the fun afternoon of tree climbing in the Huldenberg play forest! Danny

I have been looking forward to taking the T5 tree climbing course for geocachers with Frank (Duckwing). In the morning, theoretical lessons in a fun and pleasant setting, followed by lunch together. In the afternoon we were able to put into practice what we had seen in the morning. Thank you Frank for this fun and educational day. I enjoyed it. Benny

After a clear and fun theory session, we all go out to try out what we have learned in practice. The afternoon flew by unnoticed. We as beginners learned a lot thanks to the great patience of our instructor. Thank you for the wonderful T5 tree climbing course - highly recommended for anyone who wants to know what you need, what you need to think about to climb the tree safely and all the practical tips along the way. Stefan

A super fun outdoor activity! An
